Installation

The Nastec 4HS-MP Multi-Power pump can be installed directly to the solar panels, wind-generator or any other power supply. The optional CM-MP Remote Control / Monitoring Module is used for monitoring operations, recording operation hours and system faults, along with surface system trouble-shooting.

If the CM-MP Control Module is not used, signal cables can be used to install pump On/OFF switch along with float level control, pressure switches or high/low level alarms. REMEMBER, All the protection against over-load, over-voltage and dry running in integrated into the internal pump inverter and then submerged, thus achieving long life of all electronic components.

When equipped with the optional CM-MP Multi-Powered Remote Control module system allows:

  • Control / Monitor electric parameters:
    Current, Power, Voltage and Faults,
    and track running hours.

  • Record and store operating hours
    and all faults/alarms.

  • Add pressure or flow sensor to
    control constant pressure pump
    performance (with variable sunlight).

  • Connect a pressure or float switch.

  • Provide a digital output for remote
    monitoring, control and alarms.

  • A single remote control can be used
    with multiple pumps as needed.

Integrated On-Board Pump Protection

The standard 4HS-MP pump includes protection against

over-voltage, over-load and dry-running. This is integrated

into the standard pump electronic circuit.

Electronic protection against dry-running avoids the use of

probes and float switches. This includes the level search

feature that checks for water level being restored and is

equipped with the auto-restart when water level returns.

Being submerged (along with the pump), the temperature

of sensitive electronic components is controlled for long life

and eliminating damage related with surface mount control.

DC/AC inverters can also generate electric fields that cause

interference with communications.

USING AUXILARY BACK-UP GENSET

If solar energy is inadequate or panels damaged in storm an

auxiliary genset can be used as emergency back-up power

to maintain pump performance.

A simple AC/DC selector is used to change the power source.

Pump Mounting

4HS-MP MultiPower pumps are able

to be installed both vertically and

horizontally. The outlet must never

be lower than the horizontal axis.

For proper cooling if 4HS-MP is not to

be installed in a well pipe, it will be

necessary to utilize a cooling sleeve or

casing pipe to maintain the minimum

speed and flow of water for cooling.
